Jim Borello has resided in the Chicago area all of his life. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Lewis University and his Master’s degree from the University of Missouri. Prior to becoming a financial planner Jim taught Chemistry for 15 years. This experience provided him valuable training in relating to his client’s needs. Jim started his investment career doing taxes in 1975. The establishment of his Broker Dealer soon followed. He has been in the financial planning field for 30 years specializing in taxes and investments. Jim enjoys helping others attain their financial goals.

Jim is a longtime Cubs fan and enjoys traveling with his wife, Sandy. He is delighted that his son, Dan has joined the firm. He is also happy to have his son Dan, daughter-in-law Ashley, and grandson Joshua in the Chicago area.

Dan’s Financial Planning specialties include, Retirement Forecasting, Estate Planning, Education Consulting, and Tax Preparation for Individuals and Businesses. He focuses on goal-based investing, helping clients make decisions today in order to achieve their future objectives.

Dan earned a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He spent 3 years as a Professor at Oregon State University, which provided valuable experience to help him determine client needs and communicating potential risks.

Dan lives in Inverness with his wife Ashley and son Joshua. He enjoys watching the Chicago Cubs, snow skiing, golf, and woodworking in his spare time.

Mike has been a Financial Planner for over 20 years, servicing clients in the Dundee area through local community banks and now as a Financial Planner through James T. Borello & Co. He graduated from Benedictine University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Economics. To keep up with the pace of our ever-changing financial climate, Mike has continued his education through financial planning courses with Boston University. He specializes in providing lifetime income solutions for retirees and those planning retirement. He believes that trust is the cornerstone of every successful relationship and is committed to partnering with his clients to meet their financial needs.

Mike is active with St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Crystal Lake, where he resides with his wife, Renee and his three sons, Michael, Dominic and Joseph.

Chad graduated from Purdue University and has traveled the world volunteering on military bases in 9 different countries. From Greenland, Netherlands and Belgium, all the way to Curacao, Cuba, and Honduras. Developing a passion for educating others on how to achieve their goals, he decided to pursue the financial world. Specializing in taxes as well as leaving a legacy, Chad makes sure to give each individual their own personal road map to success.

Currently residing in Huntley with his wife Katie, Chad enjoys watching the Miami Dolphins and golfing.

Jackie joined the firm in 2008 and enjoys her multiple roles helping our clients and keeping the office running smoothly.  She is often the first person you speak with when calling or visiting the office. 

Graduating from Northern Illinois University with a degree in marketing and communications, she was an Account Manager in the media industry, prior to joining James T. Borello & Co.  

Jackie lives locally in West Dundee with her husband, Mike and their 3 children, Jake, Anna and Kendall.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking and college basketball.
